More Commonwealth War Graves Commission Records Released

More than 300, 000 Great War records have been released by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission to show how Britain came to commemorate its war dead. The Commission is responsible for marking and caring for the graves and memorials of over 1.7 million men and women of the Commonwealth forces who died in the two world wars.

In addition the CWGC has also enhanced its web-site with the launch of the Discover 14-18 microsite – to help people visit their sites and understand their history – and the launch of their First World War casualty archive documents online.
