Restoration Work on Hednesford War Memorial

Work has begun on revamping the Hednesford war memorial. Dating back to 1922 it contains names of soldiers who died in the both the First and Second World Wars, and the Korean War.

Cannock Council received a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to restore and make improvements to the memorial. Works include replanting with new shrubs, resurfacing the paths, trimming trees, and restoring fences, gates and pillars.
